The first in a series of coaches’ seminars for 2009 hosted by Coaching Ireland got underway last Wednesday, 25th March, with Michael McGeehin, Director of Coaching Ireland, opening the series entitled “The Coaching Wheel: Evolution & Revolution in Coaching Practice”. 

It was a great pleasure to welcome Dave Passmore, High Performance Director with Hockey Ireland, as the guest speaker for the night which was attended by coaches from 9 different sports.  Drawing on his wealth of experience and personal insights from the world of High Performance coaching, Dave’s lively and engaging manner generated a thought-provoking discussion among the audience. 

Further sessions are planned for the Spring, offering coaches opportunities to explore and reflect on coaching issues which matter most to them.
