An FEI course for Regional Tutors took place at Sociedade Hipica Paulista, Sao Paulo (BRA), on 16-21 December under the moderation of Liam Moggan from Coaching Ireland TM. The purpose of the course was to gather the Regional Tutors appointed in 2007, i.e. Javier Jeri (PER), Jaime Morillo (ECU), Luis Barreiro (ECU), Juan-Carlos Nuñez (URU), Carlos Vasconez (ECU) and a newcomer, Marcello Artiaga de Castro (BRA) to reinforce their competencies on the occasion of an FEI Level 2 Course for Coaches simultaneously conducted by Gerry Mullins, FEI Senior Tutor.
After the course, Marcello Artiaga de Castro commented: “It has been a wonderful week here in São Paulo, full of plenty of interaction between Regional Tutors and Brazilian coaches and great learning opportunities. I would like to thank you (the FEI) very much for your devotion to coaching and tutoring and for all your support in organizing the courses. I am now aware that there is much more to coaching and tutoring than the eye can see, but watching both Gerry Mullins and Liam Moggan in action tells more than thousands of words! I can surely say that we are now better tutors, better coaches and better people! And this is priceless....”
