Coaching Strategy for Ireland
The Coaching Strategy for Ireland has been developed in partnership with the Irish Sports Council (ISC) and Sport Northern Ireland (Sport NI). This follows an extensive consultation process with coaches, athletes, national governing bodies of sport and other relevent agencies.

The Tutor Graduation Ceremony will take place in the University of Limerick on December 1st 2007 as part of the National Coaching Development Programme. Tutors play an enormously important role within every National Governing Body, specifically in the design, delivery and review of coach education programmes.
The Graduation ceremony will take place at the Kilmurray Village, University of Limerick, details as follows:

FEI tutor development course in Lima Peru 16th - 22 Oct
Liam Moggan (NCTC) has recently returned from Lima, Peru where he successfully presented a Tutor Development program for the F.E.I. (Federation Equestrian Internationale). Tutors for six South American countries travelled to Peru to attend the Tutor Development course. Liam is pictured here with some tutors on the course.

Alan Swanton from the NCTC has travelled with the Irish Boxing Squad to provide a video analysis service for the boxing squad.

NSCA Strength and Conditioning Clinic
Well done to Derek Malone for organising the strength and conditioning clinic held on the 13th Oct 2007, which was held in Dromroe Hall.
There were four main speakers, who each provided interesting presentations in their chosen fields. First up was Johnson McEvoy who spoke on the topic of injury prevention. He was followed by Drew Harrisson who discussed eccentric training, Drew was followed by John Kiely who spoke on strength & conditioning. Finally Derek took his turn and discussed proper stretching and warm-up techniques.
National Badminton Week 13th - 21st Oct
Do you play badminton? How long is it since you last played badminton? Have you ever wanted to try badminton?
Now an annual event, Badminton Ireland are holding National Badminton Week 2007 from the 13th - 21st October 2007 as a kick off to the badminton season. This initiative which was started by the Badminton Union of Ireland three years ago - becoming an international festival when the Badminton England, Badminton Scotland and Welsh Badminton joined in last year!!!
NCTC Vacancy for Lucozade Sport Presentors
The original Lucozade Sport Education consisted of 4 workshops Fuel & Fluid for Sport, Get Fit for Sport, Planning for Success and the Female Athlete. Seven hundred and fifty three of these workshops have been delivered at no cost to Schools, Clubs, Local Sport Partnerships, NGB’s and others.
