Cycling Ireland (CI) has a coaching opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual to
work within its Coach Education, and coaching programmes. CI is looking to employ a
Coaching Education Officer to work in developing and revamping coach education courses
and to progress coaching through the development of a multi-year plan. In the first instance
this role is on a fixed 2 year term contract. Subject to further funding the role will be
reviewed and renewed on an annual basis through to the London 2012 Olympic and
Paralympic Games.

Part Time Presenters required for Lucozade Sport Education Programme

Coaching Ireland is currently recruiting Presenters for the Lucozade Sport Education Programme. The Programme consists of 10 Modules:

Phase 1:

  • Hydration an Introduction
  • Nutrition an Introduction
  • The Female Athlete
  • Get Fit for Sport
  • Planning for Success

Rowing Ireland Pilot CDPI Level 2 Coach Education course.

Image from Level2 Rowing Ireland held the first weekend of a Pilot Level 2 CDPI coach education course at the National Rowing Centre in Farren Wood, Cork at the weekend 20-22 November. 

The camp was planned to run in conjunction with an Irish training camp for rowers, but due to the weather the training camp was cancelled.

In the first instance this role is on a fixed term contract from January 2010 to January 2011. Subject to further funding the role will be reviewed and renewed on an annual basis through to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Booking are now being accepted for Tutor Development Course 26

Bookings are now being accepted for Tutor Development Course 26, which begins on 16th January 2010, further details regarding dates and timelines are included on the attached Booking Form.

As has now become usual it is anticipated that there may be more than 25 applicants for TDC26.  If this is the case, the criteria listed on the Booking Form will be implemented, and you will be notified as soon as possible after the closing date.  Following confirmation each trainee tutor accepted onto the course will be contacted and asked to complete a Tutor Nomination form.

Applications are invited for the position of Head Swimming Coach at Claremorris Swimming Club effective from mid-November 2009.

Qualifications: Club Coach Certificate or equivalent. 

Job Description: The suitable candidate will be responsible for the promotion and development of all aspects of competitive swimming within the club. The candidate would display an ability to motivate Swimmers and Volunteers and show an appropriate level of technical knowledge to devise and deliver the clubs  coaching programme . The position also involves attendance at galas (approx. 8-10 per season). The Salary will be based on 18-20 hours work per week.
