PCI Training Camp, China, June 22 nd – July 1 st 2007
NCTC Physiologist, Toni Rossiter travelled with the Paralympic Cycling squad to China on their first familiarisation camp in preparation for the Beijing Games. The team consisted of 5 athletes, Michael Delaney, David Peelo, Catherine Walsh, Joanna Hickey and Enda Smyth, team manager Denis Toomey, coach Gerry Beggs and PCI performance director Liam Harbison. Toni’s primary role was to monitor athletes’ response to travel across multiple time zones and their response to the hot and polluted Chinese environment.
